Tattoo Removal

Despite the fact that many men and women tattoo themselves every year, after a while many want to remove them. They believe that tattoo removal is a painful process that involves scarring, but modern laser technology makes it possible to avoid the negative consequences.

Laser tattoo removal is a simple cosmetic procedure that allows to remove the unwanted tattoos through a series of laser treatments. Extremely short pulses of highly focused laser light are aimed towards the tattoo dyes in the skin. After the appropriate wavelength of light and sufficient energy has been used, the dye dissolves and leukocytes in the blood causes the dye gradually disappear.

We use Q-switched Nd:YAG lasers, i.e. short pulse lasers that will not damage the skin. During treatment it feels like a "whiplash". Removal of lip-liner, body tattoos, asphalt tattoos cause a temporary swelling, which disappears after a few days.

There are plenty of Q-Switched lasers with different wavelengths on the market today, we use the pigment and skin friendly Q-switched Nd:YAG laser, which will not cause scarring or negative skin toxicity over time.

There are five types of tattoos.

  1. Professional
  2. Amateur
  3. Cosmetic (skin, lips, eyelids permanent tattoos)
  4. Medical (markings with the radiation field)
  5. Traumatic tattoos (asphalt tattoos that result from road injuries)

There is also a mentioning of another secretion of color in the skin, for example, lip, ears, nose piercings can cause skin discolouration which can be successfully corrected with Q-switched Nd:YAG laser.
